Truck Driver/Tie Bander

Basic Function and Scope of
Responsibilities: Operates semi-trucks with van/chip trailers and performs basic maintenance duties on trucks/trailers as necessary, performs operations related to sorting and banding ties, maintenance on equipment, and assists with operation of plant as needed.
o Haul loads to Ashland
o Help move trucks in yard
o Tarp trailers
o Change tires on trucks and trailers as needed
o Make all minor repairs as needed (tarp handles, mirror brackets, dolly handles, etc.)
o Get water and keep water fire extinguishers full
o Check for broken hoses, cracks, and damage
o Make sure all fluids are full
o Change fluids, filters, and hoses as needed or recommended
o Fuel trucks
o Grease
o Keep cabs clean
o Clean trucks out every shift
Principal
Responsibilities:
o Haul loads to Ashland

o Wash trucks when possible in summer
o Help keep plant running if needed
o Load debris cars when possible
o Sort and band ties
o Pull steel
o Unload cars
o Load trucks
o Keep inside of JD 444 clean and do monthly service
o Other misc. duties as assigned by plant managers or lead men

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED

Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or
Experience:
o Must have a valid Driver's License
o Must have and maintain Class A CDL
o Meets all DOT regulations and safety standards
o Truck/Trailer maintenance skills
o Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
o Ability to operate and maintain equipment in safe manner at all times
o Knowledge and skill of basic equipment maintenance procedures
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
