Job Description
We are searching for someone who is looking for a full time hood cleaning foreman position. This job involves traveling in a company vehicle with another hood cleaner and cleaning grease from a customer's kitchen exhaust system:
fan, duct, filters, hoods, appliances, etc. The bulk of these jobs are completed during nighttime hours, however, we also have jobs that are completed during the day. Employees will be working with pressure washing equipment, scrapers, degreasers and kitchen grease. Northland Fire & Safety, Inc. has been in business over 30 years. Northland Fire & Safety, Inc. is looking for someone to work in this full time position.
Job Responsibilities
Kitchen Exhaust System Cleaning:
Fans, Filters, Hoods, Ductwork, Appliances
Ensure the van is stocked with supplies
Fill out paperwork upon job completion
Communicate with customers before, during and after the job
Miscellaneous Shop Work as needed
Job Requirements
Mechanical Ability
Basic mechanical aptitude is needed for this position (hand tools, drills, etc).
Additional mechanical ability is a plus.
Clean Driving Record
Will be driving a company van
Drug Free
Due to the nature of our clientele, we require all employees to undergo pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing.
Relatively Physically Fit
Climbing ladders, kneeling on the floor & on appliances, cleaning appliances, ductwork, fans, filters, etc. require the employee to be in fairly good physical condition.
Reliable
Flexible Schedule
Due to the nature of our customers, we usually clean Sun night through Thu night. One day could be night jobs and the next day could be day jobs. There is not a set schedule of hours, it changes every day/week.
Live in the Twin Ports Area
Due to travel/logistics, we are looking for someone who lives in the Twin Ports area.
Compensation/Benefits
A hood cleaning foreman should expect to make between $14.00 and $17.00
per hour. This is based off of $12.00 - $13.00/hour
bonus.
